COOKIES
Based on the characteristics and use of cookies, we can distinguish several categories:
- Cookies strictly necessary (or session cookies). These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of this site and are used to manage the login and access to reserved functions of the site. The duration of cookies is strictly limited to the working session (the cookie is deleted when you close your web browser.) or at least has a limited life. Their deactivation compromise the use of services accessible from login.
- Cookies analysis and performance. Cookies are used to collect and analyse traffic and use the site anonymously. These cookies, even without identifying the user, allow, for example, to detect if the same user returns to connect at different times. They also allow you to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. The deactivation of these cookies can be executed without any loss of functionality.
- Cookies profiling. These are persistent cookies used to identify (anonymously or not) user preferences and improve its browsing experience.
- Third Party Cookies. Third-party cookies are cookies set by a website other than the one you are currently visiting. For example, the site xxxx.com might contain within it a “Like” button of Facebook. That “Like” button will set a cookie that can be read by Facebook. Some advertisers use these types of cookies to track user visits to all sites on which they offer their services.
